What to know before using Resize Images for Social Media

The right image workflow depends on the destination, the source image and the result you need. A smaller file is not automatically a better file: reducing dimensions too far can make text or fine detail unreadable, while excessive compression can introduce visible artifacts. Pixora lets you preview the result before downloading so you can make that trade-off deliberately.

Check the destination

Confirm the required format, maximum dimensions and file-size limit before editing.

Keep the original

Save an untouched source copy so you can make another version later without compounding quality loss.

Review the output

Check dimensions, transparency, text, edges and visual quality before publishing or submitting the file.

How to use Resize Images for Social Media

  1. Choose the platform or placement you are preparing the image for and check its current size requirements.
  2. Upload one image or a batch and choose a suitable preset when available.
  3. Keep aspect-ratio lock enabled when you want proportional resizing, or use a dedicated crop workflow when the composition must change.
  4. Preview the result, check small text and important details, then download the final copy.

  • Keep the original high-resolution image and create separate exports for different platforms.
  • Resizing changes dimensions but does not automatically crop the image.

Frequently asked questions

Does resizing automatically crop an image?

No. Resizing changes pixel dimensions. If you need a different composition or aspect ratio, use cropping as a separate step.

Can I resize several images together?

Yes. Pixora supports batch uploads and applies the selected settings to the batch.

Can I enter custom dimensions?

Yes. You can enter custom width and height values and use the aspect-ratio lock when appropriate.

Which format should I download?

Choose the format accepted by your destination. JPG is common for photographs, PNG can be useful for transparency, and WebP can be useful for supported web workflows.
